Questions, bug reports and feature requests all go to the same address. We reply as soon as we can.
If you are reporting a problem, it helps a lot to include: your device (e.g. iPhone 14), your iOS version, the app version, what you did, and what you heard or saw instead.
How long a clip can I process?
Upscale Voice works on the first 30 seconds of a clip. Longer videos can still be opened — only the first 30 seconds are processed and exported.
The background noise is still there. What now?
Pull the Background fader further down and solo that layer to hear what actually landed in it. Steady noise — fans, air conditioning, hum, traffic — separates well. Noise that changes constantly, or noise mixed into the same frequencies as the voice, is harder to remove without touching the speech.
Can it separate two people talking at the same time?
No. Upscale Voice is classic signal processing, not AI source separation. It cannot isolate music or pull apart overlapping speakers. Steady room noise and narrow tones such as beeps, alarms and notifications are what it is built for.
My voice sounds thin or artificial after editing.
That usually means the Voice fader or Loudness has been pushed too far. Bring them back toward the middle, use Tone for warmth instead of level, and hold Compare to check against the original as you go.
Where does the finished video go?
The enhanced audio is written back into your video and the result is saved to your photo library, ready to post. If saving fails, check that Upscale Voice has permission to add to your photo library in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
Neither. There is no sign-up and no login, and the whole workflow runs in airplane mode.
Is there an Android version?
Upscale Voice is built for iPhone / iOS.
- The app can't open your video — make sure it is a video file in your photo library and that Upscale Voice has photo access.
- Export fails — free up storage on the device, then try again; the export writes a new video file.
- Nothing changes when you move a fader — check that no layer is soloed, and that the Compare button is not being held.
- Playback is silent — check the ringer/silent switch and the volume, and that no other app is holding the audio session.
Privacy policy

Short version
Upscale Voice does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up and no analytics. Your video never leaves your device.
Data we collect
None. We do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, usage statistics, crash telemetry, advertising identifiers or location data.
We have no server that receives data from the app, so there is nothing for us to store, share or lose.
How your video is processed
All audio separation, mixing and export happen locally on your iPhone using the operating system's own audio and video frameworks.
Your video, its audio and every edit you make stay on the device. Nothing is uploaded, and the app works with no network connection at all.
Permissions the app asks for
Photo library: needed to open the video you want to work on and to save the finished video back to your library. The app reads only the video you pick.
You can review or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. Without it, the app cannot open or export videos.
Third parties
The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no third-party trackers. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.
If you download the app from the App Store, Apple handles the download and any purchase under Apple's own privacy policy. We receive no personal data from that process.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored by us, there is no data to access, correct, export or delete. Deleting the app removes it and its local files from your device.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the date shown above before the change ships.
